Honoring Legacy, Love, and Opportunity
The Rischard Landers Scholarship is born from the heart of
Legacy Athletics and inspired by a coach whose love for children, passion for
cheer, and belief in potential changed lives. Coach Rischard believed in
building athletes not just in skill, but in character—teaching them to work
hard, dream boldly, and love their team like family.
This scholarship exists to make All-Star Cheer accessible to
athletes who love the sport deeply but face financial barriers. It honors a
legacy of kindness, toughness, and dedication—and opens doors for new legacies
to be built.

Rischard Landers Scholarship Application
Presented by Legacy Athletics
Scholarship Purpose
Growing up, I (Coach Martha) had the honor of being coached by one of the
most kind-hearted, dedicated, and inspiring coaches I could have ever asked
for-Rischard Landers. He was tough on us, but it came from a place of genuine love and belief in
his athletes. He pushed me harder than I thought possible, but more
importantly—he believed in me before I believed in myself. It was because of
his love, dedication, and unwavering support that I fell in love with this
sport.
Cheerleading shaped me. It taught me leadership, discipline,
resilience, and what it means to truly love a team. And because of that coach,
my own dream was born: to one day provide that same opportunity, that same
environment of love, trust, and possibility to other children—no matter their
financial situation.
I know firsthand how expensive this sport can be. But I also
know how powerful it is—how it can build confidence, character, lifelong
friendships, and unforgettable memories. No child should miss out on that
because of finances.
This scholarship is my way of passing forward the love,
belief, and opportunity that was once given to me.
